Oil free, Waterless Cooking

Fresh new colours !!! Green and white !! reminds me that Spring is here, though it may be sweltering hot here in Bombay, but the beauty and freshness of Spring is always welcome. Green meadows, colourful flowers, green grass, mustard fields of Punjab.

I am also excited about this revolutionary and exciting new product by AMC Cookware. I was contacted by my friend who is a Unit Manager in this Company and scheduled a demo at my home 2 days ago where she showed and cooked Veg Pulao and (Rava / Sooji) Sheera ... now it comes.... with oil or ghee. She boiled potatoes and beetroot and carrots in the same vessel without water. Believe it or not... and everything was so nutritious, retained their own colours and flavours and was not tasteless. You have to see it to believe it..

One can also bake a cake, roast, stir-fry, steam, make tandoori chicken, chicken curry, black forest cake, lemon cake etc. , momos, fry samosas in minimal oil, reheat etc. Whew!!!

The vessels come in different sizes and single or sets and are rustfree as they are made of German surgical steel with 30 years guarantee.

I have already placed an order for a set which will be delivered on Saturday. I can hardly wait to make Veg Pulao this Sunday and will certainly post a photo.

I have also registered and an now a Customer Consultant with AMC and excited about this new business venture.

If anyone is interested, do let me know. I can arrange for a demo in whichever city you live in.

Mumbai (Bombay) has 6 branches within one year itself. Hooray !!!

Clips for opened packets

look what I discovered at Shoprite, Nirmal Lifestyle mall (Mulund, Mumbai). I was quite impressed. what a useful thing !!!!
guess what it is ? !!!
I'll tell you.... we tend to cut open a packet of potato wafers or sliced bread and the mouth is either closed with a rubber band etc.
these are clips which can be positioned around the mouth and the product is kept fresh, away from moisture.
a packet of 16 costs Rs 78

Measuring Cups

This is something very useful. These cute, convenient measuring cups are available at Arif Stores (Crawford Market, Andheri west, Bandra),. The measurements are in "cups" and millilitre, ranging from 1 cup to the smallest at 1/3 cup and are available in several colours.
